Frederick A. Fitch, Lacrosse, 1922-1924
Defense
Fred was an All-American player at Syracuse University, where he was also a two-time member of the championship teams. In 1923, he played on the SU team what won the International Lacrosse Trophy in Great Britain. He was inducted into the National Lacrosse Hall of Fame in 1961.
Career: Played for the Syracuse Crescents, the Brooklyn Crescents and the Montclair Atheletic Club…Coached at Rutgers University from 1926 to 1950…Coached the North in the North/Shore Collegiate All-Star game twice.
Senior Year (1924): Member of the championship team…Selected as a first-time All-American.
Junior Year (1923): Member of the International Lacrosse Championship team.
Sophomore Year (1922): Member of the championship team.
