Brad Kotz was a member of the 1983 NCAA Division I National Championship Team. He was selected to the NCAA 25th Anniversary Lacrosse Team and inducted into to the National Lacrosse Hall of Fame in 2001. He ranks ninth on Syracuse’s career goal list (129) and he is tied for 13th on the career assist list (76). He is also ranked 13th on the career points list (205).
Career: Played for the United States in the World Games in 1986 and 1990…Selected to the All-World Team in 1990…Selected to the U.S. Delegation that presented the sport of lacrosse to the Chinese Olympic Committee & Sports Ministry in Beijing and Hong Kong in 1990…Inducted into the US Lacrosse Upstate New York Hall of Fame in 1994…Also was a four-time all-club player, earning Player of the Year honors in 1986…Twice named as an All-Pro selection in the Major Indoor Lacrosse League.
Senior Year (1985): Selected as a first-team All-American…Played for the North in the North/South Collegiate All-Star game…Led the team in goals (36) and was second in points (51)...Elected captain for a second time.
Junior Year (1984): Selected as a first-team All-American…Finished the season with 31 goals, 30 assists and 61 points…Elected captain.
Sophomore Year (1983): Selected as a first-team All-American…Won the Lt. Raymond Enners Award (Outstanding Player-Division I)…Won the W.H. Brine Award (Outstanding Player-Division I Championship Game)…Tied for second on SU’s Most Goals in a NCAA Championship Game list (5)…Led the team in goals (41) and was second in points scored (62).
Freshman Year (1982): Selected as a second-team All-American…Completed the season with 21 goals, 10 assists and 31 points…Ranks 17th on SU’s list of Most Points by First-Year Players with 31.
