Thomas H. Lehr received his BS in retailing in 1952 after earning varsity letters in baseball in 1951 and 1952 and football from 1949-51. He belonged to the Phi-Gamma Delta Fraternity from 1949 through 1952. Lehr had an outstanding professional career for 43 years in retail management with several major companies such as Bradlees and Sears Roebuck and Company. He had significant accomplishments in every store operation he managed. His community/civic activities have been extensive with Boys Clubs, Chamber of Commerce, Urban league, Boy Scouts, Better Business Bureau, and Optimist Club, in addition to serving on Boards and committees. Lehr assisted in increased annual giving for Cancer Crusade and worked with the House of Charity and Heart Association. He has done volunteer work for SU admissions and received the Outstanding Service Award from the SU Alumni Club of Washington, D.C. in 1990.
