Cuse Soccer Academy’s objective is to create an environment that will develop and challenge all levels of goalkeeping (beginner - advanced). CSA coaching staff will use carefully designed drills, activities and small sided games to prepare goalkeepers for collegiate soccer or the highest level possible. Each goalkeeper will be evaluated and given feedback on his/her performance.

1. Supporting the Defense
a. Becoming the deepest sweeper
b. Defensive/Offensive situations
c. Starting positions in relation to play
d. Communication
e. Dealing with the back pass
2. Handling Techniques
a. Head/Hands/Feet/Shape/Positioning
b. Shots around the body
c. Getting the basics right
3. Shot Stopping
a. Low/High Balls
b. Reaction saves
c. Dealing with the unexpected
d. Recovery saves
e. Pylometrics (for older players)
4. Crosses and High Balls
a. Starting Position
b. Assessing flight of the ball
c. Decision making/communication
d. Catching/Punching/Deflecting techniques
e. Unopposed/ Defenders/Attackers
5. Distribution Techniques and Restarts (against)
a. Feet-volley, half volley, dead balls

6. The Last Line of Defense
a. One verses one
