Tee Ladouceur, Senior, Attack
On today’s offense:
“It wasn’t just one person on the offense that was a threat. Everybody contributed. Everybody was working well together – hustling back to the 30, things like that. It started looking good, especially for a first game. “
On taking a finishing role this season:
“It’s not necessarily me wanting to take more of a finishing role. It’s just our attack needs to make sure the job gets done, no matter how it gets done. If that means I don’t score a single goal or I don’t have a single assist all game, as long as everyone is contributing and we’re winning games, I’m happy. I think our attack has the kind of respect for each other that I can be a leader out there and direct people through things.”
On her chemistry with Michelle Tumolo:
"I don’t even know how to describe it. It’s sort of at the point where we are finishing each other’s sentences. It’s really good to have her out there. I didn’t play this fall so we didn’t have that time together. But when I came back this January it was like we never stopped playing lacrosse together. She’s been a tremendous athlete out there, helping the freshman out, helping me out. She got face guarded early on, she kind of had to work through that. We were helping each other out there. I love having her out there.”
Alyssa Costantino, Freshman, Goalkeeper
On playing for a team like Syracuse:
“It’s a great experience because you have eleven great girls playing in front of you, so you have all the confidence in the world in them, which only helps me play better. You have so many girls on the sideline, everybody is just rooting for you to do well. It’s really easy to play with them.”
On the offense scoring early:
“It helped me a lot. It boosted up my confidence. It gave me something to play with and just mentally helped me.”
On playing behind Lindsay Rogers and Catherine Rodriguez:
“There such great defenders to have in front of me. I couldn’t ask for anything else. Just having them play in front of me is just one of the best things in the world because I have so much confidence in them. It just relaxes me more in goal.”
Lindsay Rogers, Senior, Defender
On getting back on to the field:
“It was nice. It’s been almost 11 months so obviously I was excited, ready to go. Practice has been good; rehab went well, so my leg is good. I’m just happy to be out with this team and give it one more shot.”
On how the defense played:
“I think we played okay. We had the right ideas going; we need to put in a little bit more, a little more communication. We can always step it up. The goalies that played, they did a really good job, Alyssa [Costantino] and Brooke [Conley], they really stepped it up.”
On how the defense has changed from last year:
“Mainly we had five or six senior defenders last year. We have a lot of new faces, we’re doing a lot more subbing. We have the right idea we just have to know how to make it flow a little bit more.”
