How important is it to re-establish your outside game?
I think it is really important. It brings my confidence up. I am going to keep shooting the ball and try to be successful with it. I practice it every day so why not go out there and shoot it with confidence?
Are you and your teammates happy that this non-conference schedule is over?
Yeah, I think we are excited for the Big East. This is what we’ve been preparing for while experiencing adversity and a lot of success. I think we are going in there prepared and ready to leave it out on the floor.
Did you think about shooting first and passing second in this game?
I think I need to have defenders respect all parts of my game -- Guys going underneath screens, laying off me a little bit and forcing me to shoot the ball. If I shoot the ball and it starts going in, then they are going to have to start playing differently and that is going to open up lanes for my teammates.

Coach said that everybody, even LeBron (James) has two or three games when shots aren’t falling. How good was it to see the ball go through the hoop today?
It’s always good to see the ball go through the hoop and it was even better that we had chemistry today. Everyone got in the mix and played well.
How about the fact that you guys did have some adversity, early on when they were keeping it close and knocking down shots. Is that good to have to fight your way back and then you went on your run?
Yeah definitely. When they had the lead we didn’t rush, we didn’t do anything, we stuck to our game plan. We moved the ball around and that got us to our runs.
With Big East play next, are you comfortable being one of the veterans with the way this group is heading into the conference?
Yes. This is going to be a new and different experience for all of us, and we are just going to go out there and give it the best we’ve got.
Do you know anything about Rutgers? Obviously you’ve seen them a lot in your career. Give us a little scouting report?
They have two good guards and I know they attack the glass so we need to make sure we know what to do and do it.
