Allis is a 1944 graduate of SU and lettered in lacrosse. He has remained very active in alumi affairs and was one of the driving forces behind the founding of the Orange Pack, serving as the first chairman. He currently serves as president of the Varsity Club. Allis is a partner in the Syracuse law firm of Hancock, Eastbrook, Ryan, Shove and Hust.
