William M. Byrne (Posthumously)
William M. Byrne was active in the family business of Byrne Dairy, Inc. building it into the largest independent dairy in Upstate New York. He was the middleweight boxing champion at Syracuse in 1943 and '46. He received his bachelor's degree from the university in 1947. Mr. Byrne died in 1979.
