TIGHT ENDS
Return to 2013 Football Preview
Syracuse’s tight ends have played prominent roles in the program’s success over the last few years. Nick Provo (2008-11) established the school record for season and career receptions by a tight end and his primary replacement, Becket Wales, is now moving up those lists. Wales, a senior, had 35 receptions a season ago, a total only surpassed by Provo.
Redshirt freshman Josh Parris and sophomore Jacob Green each have a year of practice under their belts. The appearance of freshmen PJ Batten and Tyler Provo in training camp is highly anticipated. Batten hails from Dade Christian High in Miami, while Provo is the younger brother of Nick. Each played in Florida state high school championship games.
2013 Tight Ends
85 Beckett Wales (Sr., 6-3, 255)

42 Jacob Green (So., 6-1, 245)
