Transfer Guidelines

New Rule
Effective August 1, 2012 the NCAA implemented new requirements for qualifiers and non-qualifiersÂ
transferring from two-year colleges on or after August 1, 2012.
QUALIFIERS
Must have spent one full-time semester or quarter in residence at their original institution. Must have a minimum of 2.500 transferable GPA.
Must have completed an average of 12 hours of transferable degree credits for each full-time term of enrollment.
All Sports: Only 2 credit hours of physical education courses count toward the GPA calculation and transferable degree credits.
NONQUALIFIERS
To be eligible for financial aid, practice, and competition:
Must have graduated from the two-year college.
Must have completed a minimum of 48-semester or 72-quarter hours of transferable degree credits, including: Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â English (6 semester/8 quarter),
            Math (3 semester/4 quarter)
            Natural Physical Science (3 semester/4 quarter)
Must have attended the two-year college full-time for a minimum of 3 semesters/4 quarters. Must have a minimum 2.500 transferrable GPA.
All Sports: Only 2 credit hours of physical education courses count toward the GPA calculation and transferable degree credits.
To be eligible for financial aid and practice only:
Nonqualifiers must meet all the same requirements as eligibility for competition, except they must only have a minimum 2.000 transferable GPA.
No more than 18 semester/27 quarter hours earned during summer terms may be transferred, and noÂ
more than 9 semester/13.5 quarter hours earned during the summer immediately prior  to transfer mayÂ
be transferred.
Old Rule
The old rule applies only to student-athletes whom enrolled full-time at a two-year college prior to August 1, 2012.
