Orange Club Priority Points
Frequently Asked Questions:
Why Priority Points:
To recognize loyal and consistent season ticket holders and Orange Club donors, and being transparent in how we do that.
EXAMPLE: Without the priority point system, if Otto moves to Syracuse and you and Otto both make $250 gifts, you would be viewed as equals when assigning tickets. With priority points, if you both have made $250 gifts, but you have been a season ticket holder for 10 years, you would have priority over Otto when tickets or other benefits of priority points are assigned.

To ensure fair and equitable allocation of high demand items, such as basketball tournament tickets, bowl tickets and season ticket upgrades.
To provide incentive for new and current ticket holders and donors to go above and beyond.
How far back do the point calculations go?
The information for giving goes back to the Dome opening in 1980. Additionally, donors who made gifts towards the construction of the Dome received points for their gifts. Ticketing information goes back to 1995. We invite donors and STH to reach out with questions around their credit in each area.
Do other schools use Priority Points?
Yes! In fact, including Syracuse University 13 of 15 ACC schools now have priority points and 62 of the 65 Power 5 schools have priority points.
Can my points ever go away?
No, once you have accumulated priority points, your points can only go up.
Are points between me and my spouse split?
No, your total giving as a household will be totaled to ensure that you receive maximum points. If you believe that you and your spouse's points are not being combined, please contact the Orange Club.

Please send an email to oclub@syr.edu with your dates of fulltime employment along with title and department.
I give through a community foundation, will that giving count towards my point total?
Yes! Much like a matching gift, so long as we can identify that your name should be associated with the gift from the foundation, you will receive credit for the athletics gifts. At this time, only legal credit is being given for non-athletics giving. Please note that only one profile can receive points (outside of households).
Can I pass along my points to my heirs/next of kin?
At this time, points cannot be transferred generationally.
I can see my points, but I am concerned the information doesn't match my records.

If you contact the Orange Club, they can provide you with your point total. It will be updated monthly
I think I might have multiple MyCuse accounts, what should I do?
Please contact the Box Office, and specify which account you would like to use. Moving forward, we hope that patrons will utilize one account for tickets. This will help use ensure that patrons maximize their points, and are awarded for all activity.
