Robert Nabke worked with the Orange student-athlete development staff as an assistant director from 2014 to April 2016.
Prior to his position at Syracuse, Nabke worked at Creighton University as a transition leader, helping to implement a comprehensive academic process for the men’s basketball program as the university moved from the Missouri Valley Conference to the BIG EAST Conference during the 2013-14 season.
Nabke’s prior experience also includes serving as an assistant director of academic services at Iowa State University from 2009-13. There, he was primarily responsible for academic counseling for men’s basketball and football, helping both teams achieve their highest GPAs in school history. During the 2008-09 acaedmic year, Nabke worked at the University of New Mexico in academic support. He began his career in academics as a graduate assistant for Marquette University in their athletic academic services department in 2007.
A native of New Berlin, Wisconsin, Nabke is a member of the National Association of Academic Advisors for Athletes (N4A). He earned a bachelor’s degree in history and education from Grand Canyon University in 2006, where he lettered in baseball, and a master’s degree in leadership from Marquette in 2008.
