Charlie Brewer joined the Syracuse football staff as an offensive analyst working with the quarterbacks in 2026, bringing firsthand experience as one of college football's most productive signal-callers of his era.
Brewer appeared in eight games at Baylor during his freshman season and was named Big 12 Co-Offensive Freshman of the Year in 2017. He went on to start 12-of-13 games his sophomore season and threw for over 3,000 yards. Brewer embarked on a strong junior campaign in which he threw for 3,161 yards and 21 touchdowns to lead the Bears to an 11-1 regular season and a spot in the Big 12 Championship Game. He finished his Baylor career with 9,700 yards and 65 touchdowns through the air while adding 452 rushing yards and 22 rushing touchdowns.
He used his final years of eligibility to play as a graduate transfer at Utah and Liberty.
Since joining the coaching ranks, Brewer has served as a quality control coach at Bowling Green in 2024 and a graduate assistant at North Texas 2025. He helped lead the Falcons offense score over 30 points in five games in 2024 and secure a spot in the 68 Ventures Bowl. At North Texas, the Mean Green offense led the nation in total offense (512 yards/game) and scoring offense (45.1 points/game). North Texas finished at 12-2 overall, culminating in a win in the New Mexico Bowl.
