A strength and conditioning intern during the 2018 season, Dan Webb was promoted to assistant strength and conditioning coach for football in the spring of 2019.
In his time at Syracuse, he has helped implement the strength and conditioning program that has seen six Orange players drafted and more than a dozen sign NFL contracts.Â
Webb previously worked as the director of strength and conditioning for the Akron football program from 2012-14. He spent the 2011 season as a graduate assistant for the Zips.
From 2008-10, Webb was a member of the strength and conditioning staff at Michigan, serving one year as an intern and two seasons as an assistant coach. During that time he trained student-athletes from multiple sports, including football, men’s ice hockey and wrestling.
Prior to joining the Akron staff, Webb worked at Strength In Motion in Syracuse. He taught proper Olympic lifting techniques, nutrition and customized training programs for his clients. Among the athletes he worked with were select members of the Orange men’s basketball team.
Webb has a bachelor’s degree in kinesiology and fitness development from SUNY Cortland and a master’s degree in sport science and coaching from Akron. He is a member of the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) and is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS).
