Khalil Ahmad enters his second season at Syracuse as the Director of High School Relations. Ahmed made his way to the Orange after serving a year at Rutgers in player development for the Scarlet Knights.

A native of Montclair, New Jersey, Ahmad had previously served for two years as assistant head coach/offensive and recruiting coordinator at Paterson Eastside High School in helping turn the program around on the way to back-to-back winning seasons. That included a postseason berth in 2019 and being in position in 2020.

Ahmad began his career immediately after college as offensive coordinator/recruiting coordinator at Passaic High School. The team finished with its first .500 season in 20 years. Next, Ahmad worked as secondary coach, strength and conditioning and recruiting coordinator at Northern Valley at Demarest, earning a spot in the playoffs.

Ahmad graduated from Delaware State University with a degree in political science. He attended Montclair High School and Paterson Eastside.
