Shawn Emmons assumed the role of assistant director of video and technology in 2018. He is in his eighth season on the Syracuse staff. Emmons previously spent three years as the team’s assistant video coordinator. He started with the Orange as a video operations intern in 2013 and 2014.

Emmons is responsible for managing the football program’s video network. He imports and categorizes self-scouting and opponent scouting footage for the coaching staff. He also supervises a team of interns who film practices and games, and assists in the creation of team recruiting and highlight videos.

Prior to his full-time appointment, Emmons was responsible for providing sideline and end-zone practice and game film. He also cataloged and edited opponent film.

Emmons completed his bachelor’s degree in sport management at SUNY Fredonia in 2013. He also holds an associate’s degree from Tompkins Cortland Community College.
