The all-time leading rusher at Bowling Green, Travis Greene is in his fifth season on the Syracuse staff. He was named an offensive analyst in the spring of 2021 after previously serving in graduate assistant and quality control positions.Â
Greene joined the Orange program in 2018 and assisting in coaching the Orange’s most prolific scoring season in program history. He also helped the staff mentor Sean Tucker to the most prolific rushing season in program history in 2021. Under their guidance, Tucker broke a 40-year-old rushing record and earned All-America accolades.
As a player, Greene was a running back for the Falcons for three seasons. He rushed for a school-record 3,852 yards, including 1,299 yards and 15 touchdowns as a senior captain in 2015 to help BGSU capture the Mid-American Conference (MAC) title in their second year under Dino Babers. Greene previously set the Bowling Green single-season rushing record with 1,594 yards in 2013.
A two-time All-MAC selection, Greene helped the Falcons to two conference titles, three MAC championship game appearances, and a victory in the 2014 Raycom Media Camellia Bowl. He was voted MVP of the 2015 league championship game after running for a career-high 183 yards and two touchdowns versus Northern Illinois.
Greene was briefly a member of the Canadian Football League’s Ottawa Redblacks following his collegiate career.
Greene received his bachelor’s degree in liberal arts from Bowling Green in 2015. He earned a master’s degree in instructional design, development and evaluation at Syracuse in 2020.
Greene’s brother, Trent, was previously a defensive graduate assistant for the Orange from 2017-19.Â
