Dr. Zac White was hired as an assistant athletic trainer for football in March 2018. In that role, White assists Head Athletic Trainer for Football Tim Pike with the daily healthcare management of football student-athletes and supervises the football athletic training interns.

Prior to joining the Syracuse Sports Medicine staff, White served as an athletic training fellow for the Temple football program from 2016-18. White’s football experience also includes an athletic training internship at Morgan State (2015-16), a graduate assistantship at East Carolina (2013-15), and summer internships with the NFL’s Carolina Panthers (2015) and Kansas City Chiefs (2012).

In addition to each school’s football program, White also worked with the men’s basketball teams at East Carolina and Morgan State. While at East Carolina, White also served as the head athletic trainer at North Pitt High School.Â

White received his bachelor’s degree in athletic training from East Carolina in 2013. He also holds a master’s degree in teaching with a concentration in health education from the school. In the fall of 2018, White received his doctorate of athletic training from Temple, where he also attained a certificate of teaching in higher education.

White is a member of several professional organizations, including the National Athletic Trainers Association (NATA) and National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA). An NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) and Corrective Exercise Specialist (CES), White is also a Fascial Stretch Therapist (FST). Â Â Â
