de la Guardia joined the Orange in June of 2023 as a recruiting quality control coach, having previously worked with the San Francisco 49ers’ scouting department.
He’ll work with the Orange recruiting department to identify and attract top prospects to Syracuse and be heavily involved with prospective recruits visits and recruiting operations.
He joined the Orange after spending the spring of 2023 working for the 49ers in preparation for the NFL Draft. He made cut ups of players, wrote scouting reports and graded prospects. He also went to multiple collegiate Pro Days for player evaluation.
de la Guardia is a 2023 graduate of Syracuse with a degree in sport management.
