At SU: Two letters … Joined the team as a walk-on prior to the 2005 season … Member of the 2006 Spring, 2006 Fall and 2007 Fall Athletic Director’s Honor Roll … 2006 and 2007 BIG EAST All-Academic Team selection.
Senior Year (2007): Played in the season-opener against Washington and in the finale against Cincinnati.
Junior Year (2006): Played in eight games, primarily as a punt returner … Against Iowa, had two punt returns for three yards … At Illinois, returned three punts for 36 yards, including a career-best 16-yard return … Against Miami (OH), returned a career high four punts for 33 yards … Against Wyoming, returned two punts for 24 yards … Against Pittsburgh, had one punt return for no yards … At Cincinnati, returned one punt for seven yards … At South Florida, played wide receiver in the fourth quarter.
Sophomore Year (2005): Did not play in any games … Caught two passes for 23 yards in the 2006 Spring game.
High School: Played football, baseball, lacrosse and wrestled at Weston … Caught 64 passes for 989 yards and 11 touchdowns, also intercepted three passes in senior season … In his career, caught 99 passes for 1,437 yards and 15 touchdowns with six interceptions … Two-time all-conference wide receiver … All-area wide receiver and offensive MVP in 2003 … Led state in receptions (64) in 2003 … High school coach was Bob Zito … Three-time all-conference, two-time second-team all-state in wrestling … Ranked No. 12 in New England in 2003 … Competed in senior nationals and had a career 110-28 record … All-Area MVP in 2004 … Named wrestling MVP from 2002-04 and earned Westport News High School Athlete of the Year in 2004.
