Bojan Mandaric is in his second year as the graduate assisitant for the men’s rowing team. Mandaric has multiple responsiblities with both the varsity and freshmen rowers. In his first year, Mandaric helped lead SU to an undefeated regular season.
Mandaric has extensive rowing experience and has raced all over the world. He attended Northeastern University where he was a member of the varsity eight for three seasons. He has international rowing experience as well.
Mandaric began rowing in 1996 and in 1998 became a member of the Yugoslavian National Team (later called Serbia and Montenegro). He raced in Austria, Hungary, Germany, Slovenia, Romania and Bulgaria. He has been able to win eight medals at the Serbian National Championships (two gold, four silver, two bronze).
He competed at the U-23 World Championships in 2000 and 2001 and the World Championships in 2002, where his boat finished 9th.
Mandaric graduated from Northeastern in 2006 with a degree in enrivonmental studies. During his time in Boston, he also worked at the Northeastern Center for Sports in Society.
