Solomon Bliss captained the Orangemen in his final two years at Syracuse and was also a two-time All-American. He worked extremely hard in the off-season of his junior year rehabilitating his left knee after having surgery to repair the torn ACL he suffered in the 2002 semifinals against Virginia. He played the entire national championship game on the injured knee and was named to the NCAA All-Tournament team.
2003: Team captain…named to the honorable mention STX/USILA All-America team...recovered 36 groundballs...played and started in all 16 games....played for the North in the North/South Collegiate All-Star game.
2002: Team captain...played and started in all 17 games...named to the honorable mention STX/USILA All-America team...earned a spot on the NCAA All-Tournament team...held Princeton's high-scoring creaseman B.J. Prager to just one goal and one assist in the title game...recovered 33 ground balls on the season...helped SU to a seventh-place national ranking in man-down defense...recorded his first collegiate point, an assist, in a win at Virginia...named to the Fall 2001 Athletic Director's Honor Roll.
2001: Earned a starting role at close defense...filled the spot vacated by 2000 first-team All-American Marshall Abrams...played and started in all 16 games...received notice during the NCAA Tournament by shutting down Notre Dame's top attackman, Tom Glatzel, in the semifinals...held Glatzel without a point for the first time in 23 games...had four ground balls in the quarterfinal win against Hofstra...a key member of an SU unit that ranked eighth in the nation in scoring defense (8.00 goals per game)...named to the Fall 2000 Athletic Director's Honor Roll.
2000: Played in 14 games...took one shot...scooped up 11 groundballs.
1999: Red-shirt season.
High School: All-state selection his senior season...three-year letterwinner...also lettered in football and basketball...team captain his junior and senior years...played in the Empire State Games.
