Sarah Missen came to Syracuse in July 2018 as assistant athletic trainer. Her primary role is the injury prevention, diagnosis and care for the women's rowing team.
Missen came to Syracuse after serving as an interim athletic trainer at Georgia Tech for one year where she worked primarily with the football and women's tennis programs.
Missen was a graduate assistant athletic trainer from July 2015 to May 2017 at the University of Kentucky, where she worked with the women's soccer and women's tennis programs. She was also the summer sports camp coverage coordinator while at UK.
Missen was a student athletic trainer at Penn State from January 2012 to May 2015, gaining experience working with the Nittany Lions football, men's basketball and women's soccer programs, in addition to State College High School sports teams.
Missen is a 2015 graduate of Penn State with a Bachelor of Science in athletic training and earned her Master's in athletic training from Kentucky in 2017.
