Mindy Reger was the Orange academic coordinator for men’s and women’s rowing, women’s volleyball, women’s ice hockey and softball from July 2013 to January 2017. As a member of the athletic department’s academic staff, she is responsible for providing academic support and monitoring academic progress for rowing, volleyball, ice hockey and softball student-athletes.
Prior to coming to Syracuse, Reger held a similar position at the College of Charleston in Charleston. for nearly two years. While at the College of Charleston, she served as the advisor for the members of six athletic teams, including men’s basketball, men’s soccer, men’s and women’s swimming and diving, mixed sailing, mixed equestrian and women’s basketball.
Additionally, Reger interned in the Student-Athlete Center for Academic Excellence at Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, Fla. from August 2010 - May 2011.
Reger, who was a member of the Orange rowing team from 2003-06, earned dual bachelor’s degrees from the Martin J. Whitman School of Management and the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University. She majored in entrepreneurship and emerging enterprises and advertising, with a minor in music industry. She also earned her Master’s degree in education from the University of Washington in 2011.
