Jones helped Catz Lappeenrata to the league semifinals
SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Chandrea Jones '09, a two-time All-BIG EAST honoree, helped Catz Lappeenranta to the 2017 Naisten Korisliiga, the top women's basketball league in Finland, semifinals. Catz Lappeenranta earned a second-place finish during the 2016-17 regular season.
In 29 contests played, Jones averaged 19.2 points, 10.3 rebounds, 3.7 assists, and 2.1 steals per game. She ranked third in the league in scoring and sixth in rebounding.
For her efforts on the court during the 2016-17 campaign, Jones was named to the 2017 Eurobasket.com All-Finnish League First Team. She also collected Finnish League Forward of the Year accolades from the same outlet.
The Baltimore, Md. native scored 1,010 points in only 63 games played at Syracuse. She holds the program career scoring average record, tallying 16.0 points per contest in her time on campus. Jones collected All-BIG EAST Second Team honors as a junior in 2008, before being named to the first team in her final year.
