"Everybody knows our record is 5-4, but deep down inside we believe we are better than that. This game gives us an opportunity to show that we can play up to our abilities against a ranked opponent like Miami. They are an excellent team and I look forward to playing them."
On the Miami receiving corps:
"Reggie Wayne and Santana Moss are one of the top tandems in the nation. What makes them special is their ability to make the big catch and the big play. They can score at any point in the game. They are excellent athletes. This week, what we have to focus on is limiting the yards they gain after they make a catch."
On the key to defending Miami flanker Santana Moss:
"You have to breakdown and make the tackle. You have to have confidence that your teammates are going to be there. If he is running outside, you want to force him inside where the rest of the defense is."
On the other weapons in the Miami offense:
"One of the great things about their offense is that they have running backs James Jackson and Najeh Davenport. They can run the ball against you, too. In defending Miami, you can't favor the run or the pass because they can do both well."
Graham Manley, Tight End
On playing the number-two ranked team in the country:
"We think we are much better than the four losses we have. Each one of those losses was a close game. This is definitely a chance for us to get a little respect back. Playing against a quality opponent like Miami gives our team the chance to showcase how well we can play."
On Miami linebacker Dan Morgan:
"He is a very good athlete. I'm looking forward to the opportunity to play against him."
On Miami's defensive scheme:
"They run a 4-3 defense, but they are a lot more multiple than they have been in the past. Now they have the athletes to give a lot of different looks on defense."
