Brings a tremendous work ethic to the team...High School: Competed four years on the swim team at Cumberland High School for Coach Bruce Calvert...team finished fifth at the state championship his senior year...swam the 100, 200 and 500 freestyle events...served as team captain his senior season...posted personal-best times of 49.5 in the 100 free, 1:48.7 in the 200 free and 4:52 in the 500 free...finished first in the 100 and 200 freestyle events at the state championship meet...his best times came when swimming with the Attleboro Bluefish Club team of which he was a member from 1998-2000...named First-Team All-State in 2000...selected as the Senior Rhode Island Swimmer of the Year...Personal: Born February 23, 1982...son of Craig and Joyce Polucha...one brother...majoring in broadcast journalism.
