Collins holds numerous SU defensive records including the career tackles (624), tackles in a game (42), and tackles in a season (229). A second round draft pick of the Los Angeles Rams in 1981, he played for the Rams from 1981-88 and for the San Diego Chargers from 1989-90. Collins was a Pro Bowl selection for the Rams in 1986.
