Five of the 10 student-athletes earned 3.4 or-better grade point averages. Sophomore Eric Chapman (Wallingford, PA), sophomore Guido Cristofori (Fairport, NY), freshman Ryan Hickey (Spencerport, NY), sophomore Peter Lindahl (Ellicott City, MD) and senior Matt Torok (Wyomissing, PA) will all be recognized on the scoreboard at the Syracuse men's basketball game versus Connecticut on February 19.
Six of the Orangemen are repeat honorees. Torok earned the distinction for the fifth time, while Lindahl and Chapman have been named the honor roll in each of their three semesters. Junior Jeff Lewis (Ballston Lake, NY) also received the honor for the third time. Junior Anthony Peters (Schenectady, NY) and senior Mario Cristofori (Fairport, NY) are now two-time members of the list.
Sophomores Chris Aloisi (North Babylon, NY) and Guido Cristofori, along with freshmen Hiro Ohara (Tokyo, Japan) and Hickey were named to the Athletic Director's Honor Roll for the first time.
Established in 1995-96, the Athletic Director's Honor Roll recognizes the outstanding accomplishments of Syracuse University student-athletes. To earn recognition student-athletes must achieve at least a 3.0 grade point average for a semester.
