
Hut Selected by Red Bull New York in MLS SuperDraft

NEW YORK- The Red Bull New York drafted goalkeeper Tomas Hut in the 2026 MLS SuperDraft on Dec. 18, 2025. Hut was selected in the first round and as the 21st overall pick.
Hut played two seasons at Army before transferring to Syracuse for the 2023 season. The Nutley, New Jersey native appeared in 54 games throughout his collegiate career, starting in 51 of them. Over four years of play, he made 173 saves and recorded 17 shutouts.
In his graduate year alone, Hut played 1,800 minutes, the eighth most by an Orange player, while starting in all 20 matches. He made 76 saves and nine shutouts, tied for the fifth most in Syracuse men's soccer history with Rick Fatscher (1984) and Joe Papaleo (1980).
Throughout his career, Hut made his mark in the SU record book, standing in seventh place in goals against average (1.30), holding the tenth-place spot for most wins (16) and is tied for seventh place in solo shutouts (12).
Hut is the twelfth first round pick in program history and is the most recent player drafted since Jeorgio Kocevski (Orlando City- 1st Round, 21st overall) and Olu Oyegunle (Chicago Fire FC- 2nd round, 33rd overall) in the 2024 MLS SuperDraft.
