SU Lacrosse Defeats Army, 8-7, in Final Scrimmage

Syracuse University junior Josh Coffman (Carthage, NY) scored three
goals to lead the lacrosse Orangemen in their 8-7 victory against Army
in a pre-season scrimmage. Coffman tallied two of SU's three goals in
the fourth quarter.
Freshman Mike Powell (Carthage, NY) posted two goals and one assist, including SU's first goal of the game. Sophomore Mike Springer (Ridgewood, NJ) also tallied two goals and one assist. Junior Spencer Wright (San Diego, CA) scored the game-winner in the fourth quarter. He also assisted Coffman's second quarter goal.
The Orangemen will begin the regular season on Friday, February 23 when they host Colgate in the Carrier Dome at 7:00 p.m.
