Orangewomen to Host Virginia

The No. 9 Syracuse University women's lacrosse team will host No. 7 Virginia in the season opener on Saturday, March 3 at the Carrier Dome. The game, which is set for noon, will be the first in a doubleheader with the men's team.
The women are coming off their most successful season in program history having made their innaugural appearance at the NCAA Tournament in 2000.
Syracuse finished 12-4 overall last season, losing to Georgetown 11-10 in the first round of the Tournament. The Orangewomen return 23 members of last years squad including three All-Americans and two Regional All-Americans.
Tickets to both games of the doubleheader can be purchased through the Dome ticket office (1-888-DOME-TIX).
