Guzik Named USA Lacrosse Magazine Division I Player of the Week

Molly Guzik was named USA Lacrosse Magazine's Division I Player of the Week after posting a six-goal performance in a road victory over Northwestern last week. Six goals marked a new career-best for Guzik and helped lift the Orange to the road triumph over then-ranked No. 4 Northwestern.

Guzik scored six of the Orange's nine goals, which included a natural hat trick to start the scoring off for Syracuse. She put the game away in the fourth quarter, adding two late goals to extend the lead and put the Wildcats in the rearview mirror.

The sophomore has been the offensive catalyst for the Orange, scoring 23 goals paired with three assists this year. Since beginning the five-game winning streak, Guzik has scored fewer than three goals just once. On top of her offensive production, she has won 36 draw controls this year.
