Vucetic Qualifies for Men's Consolation Finals in 100 Backstroke at NCAA Championships

COLLEGE STATION, Texas -- Senior Josko Vucetic (Split, Croatia) will swim
tonight in the NCAA consolation finals of the men's 100-yard
backstroke. Vucetic finished 15th earlier today in the preliminary
race. His time was 48.05, five tenths of a second faster than his best
time this season.
Also in action on Friday afternoon was junior Djordje Filipovic (Belgrade, Yugoslavia), who competed in the 100 butterfly. Filipovic came in 38th place in the preliminaries with a time of 49.55.
