
Neveklovska & Borucka Make Final Home Appearance

Syracuse enters the weekend after winning a pair of dual matches against Army and Seton Hall last weekend. SU defeated the Cadets on March 30, 6-1, and swept every match against Seton Hall for a 7-0 win. Four SU tennis players went 4-0 last weekend in singles and doubles action. Neveklovska and Borucka and sophomores Masha Kabanova (Moscow, Russia) and Shervin Saedinia (Woodland Hills, CA) won each of their matches in singles and doubles.
Led by Neveklovska's 37 victories, five Orangewomen have eclipsed the 30-win plateau this season. Along with Borucka the duo leads the team with 20 doubles wins. Borucka is third on the squad, recording 35 wins. Kabanova leads the team with 18 singles wins and is second on the squad with 36 victories. Sophomore Saedinia totalled 33 wins this season, while freshman Zani Suttle (Roswell, GA) has 30.
With four wins last weekend, Borucka moved into 13th place on the SU all-time wins chart. Borucka has 127 career wins. She needs one more to tie former teammate Anna Khvalina (1996-2000) for 12th with 128 victories. Neveklovska is fifth on the SU all-time wins list, 10 wins behind fourth-place Stephanie Rice (1983-87). Neveklovska has 142 wins in her career.
Syracuse closes its season on April 15 at Brown University. The Orangewomen clash with the Bears at 11 a.m. in Providence.
