Brady Leads Orangewomen to 12-7 Victory Against Rutgers

Graduate student Lauren Brady (Acton, MA) posted four goals to lead the No.17 Syracuse University women's lacrosse team to a 12-7 victory against Rutgers
University at the Carrier Dome on April 7. With the victory the Orangewomen are 4-3 on the season, 2-1 in the BIG EAST.
The teams were tied at 2-2 before Brady found Jessica Trombley, (Keuka Park, NY) for the one-point advantage with 5:44 to play in the first half. The Orangewomen finished the half with two unanswered goals to lead 5-2.
Brady and Freshman Leigh-Ann Zimmer (Farmingdale, NY) opened the second-half as each posted a goal in the first minute. The Orangewomen went on to outscore the Lady Knights 7-5 closing play with a five-point advantage.
Carla Gigon (Hingham, MA) had six saves in goal for the Orangewomen. The team will travel to take on the Big Green of Dartmouth University on Monday, April 9. Game time is set for 3 p.m.
