
Three Orangewomen Rowers Named Regional Scholar Athletes

All three student-athletes rowed in the Orangewomen's varsity eight boat that finished sixth at the 2001 NCAA Rowing Championships.
Graves, a captain for the Orangewomen, was also named to the 2001 Verizon Academic All-District I first-team. Graves completed her undergraduate degree in policy studies in three years and will start work this summer on a master's degree in public administration. She was a 2000 Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association National Scholar. Graves was the fourth seat on Syracuse's varsity eight.
Kott, SU's first-ever first-team All-American in 2000, is a junior majoring in psychology. Kott has also been named to the 2001 Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association first-team for the Mid-Atlantic region. Kott was the stroke for the Orangewomen.
Kirchhoff, the fifth seat in SU's varsity eight, is a junior majoring in bioengineering. Kirchhoff, along with Graves, will serve as a team captain in 2001-02.
