
Two Orangewomen Named to Lacrosse Academic All-American Squad

Boyle captained the Orangewomen in 2001. She started all 15 games, recording 23 ground balls and six draw controls. She was also an IWLCA Academic All-American following the 2000 season. Boyle is majoring in art-sculpture.
Soults, and information studies major, made the squad after scoring 42 points in 2001. She was named the BIG EAST Midfielder of the Year and was a third-team All-American pick. Soults was also a second-team Verizon/CoSIDA Academic All-District I selection.
To be considered for the IWLCA team a student-athlete must have a minimum 3.2 grade point average, be a starter or an important reserve, and hold junior or senior class standing.
The Orangewomen finished the 2001 campaign with a 10-5 record. They qualified for their second consecutive NCAA Tournament, falling to sixth-seeded North Carolina in the first round.
