The Syracuse University men's lacrosse team will participate in two "fall ball" events next month. On Sunday, Oct. 7, the Orangemen will play an intra-squad scrimmage beginning at 10 a.m. on their own Coyne Field.
The second competition will take place at the Anheiser Busch Soccer Park in Fenton, Missouri on Saturday, Oct. 13, at 2 p.m. CT against Notre Dame. The two teams, who last met in the 2001 NCAA semifinals at Rutgers Stadium on May 26, will play a controlled scrimmage. The Orangemen defeated the Irish, 12-5, to advance to their 12th national-championship appearance. Syracuse went on to lose a 10-9 overtime decision to Princeton in the finals.
Also on their trip to Missouri, the Orangemen will conduct a youth clinic on Sunday, Oct. 14, from 9-11 a.m. CT at the Anheiser Busch Soccer Park. The players and coaches will participate in teaching young players from the St. Louis area the fundamentals of lacrosse.
