Grosman Named BIG EAST Defensive Field Hockey Player of the Week

For the second time this season, Syracuse junior back Missy Grosman (Emmaus, Pa./Emmaus) was named the BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week.
In the Orangewomen's conference-opening 2-1 win against Rutgers, Grosman intercepted at least two Scarlet Knight passes to initiate Syracuse breaks up field. In a 5-2 win against West Chester, she was a key component of SU's defensive corner unit that did not allow West Chester to score on any of its 10 penalty corners.
Syracuse (4-2, 1-0 BIG EAST) travels to Hamilton, N.Y. this Thursday for a 7 p.m. contest against Colgate.
