Jackson Added to North Squad for 2002 Hula Bowl

Wide receiver Maurice Jackson (Rochester, NY) will play in the 2002 Hula Bowl on Saturday, February 2. Jackson was added to the north roster and will play for North Head coach Dennis Erickson. In the 2001 season Jackson had 19 catches for 254 yards and ran eight reverses for 62 yards. He also returned 16 kickoffs for 300 yards, an average of 18.8 per return.
The 2002 Hula Bowl will be played in the War Memorial Stadium in Maui, Hawaii. Kickoff at 8:00 p.m. EST and the game will be televised on ESPN.
Jackson is the eighth Orangeman to be selected for a 2002 senior all-star game. Sean O'Connor (Morristown, NJ), Kyle Johnson (Woodbridge, NJ) and Quentin Harris (Wilkes-Barre, PA) played in the East-West Shrine All-Star Game, while PJ Alexander (Tallahassee, FL) and Dwight Freeney (Bloomfield, CT) were selected for the Senior Bowl. Freeney did not play in the Senior Bowl due to an ankle injury. James Mungro (East Stroudsburg, PA) and Willie Ford (Falmouth, MA) played in the Rotary Gridiron Classic.
