Orangewomen Still Fighting Through Main Bracket At ITA Tournament

Kaluskova had the Orangewomen's automatic bid to the main singles draw, while Saedinia and Kabanova competed through the qualifying draw to advance to the main draw. Kabanova lost in the Round of 128 and was eliminated, while Kaluskova and Saedinia have advanced to the Round of 64 to be played on Sunday.
Saedinia and Kabanova were Syracuse's entry into the main doubles bracket, and they haven't disappointed, making it to the Round of 16. Kaluskova and freshman Wei-Ming Leong (Ipoh, Malaysia/SMJK Ave Maria Convent) as well as sophomores Kristine Bech Holte (Oslo, Norway/Fagerborg vgs.) and Trine Lise Juliussen (Rade, Norway/Treider vgs.) earned berths in the main draw through the qualifying rounds. Holte and Juliussen were eliminated in the first round of the main draw, while Leong and Kaluskova lost in the second round.
The regional tournament continues through Tuesday where the champions from both brackets will be crowned and will advance to the national tournament.
