The Syracuse Orangemen open BIG EAST Conference play at Noon on Saturday when they host the Pittsburgh Panthers. SU enters the game with an overall record of 1-3, while Pittsburgh is 4-1 overall and 1-0 in BIG EAST play.

The last time the two teams met in the Carrier Dome, Syracuse defeated the Panthers in an overtime thriller 24-17. Last season the Orangemen beat Pittsburgh 42-10 at Heinz Field. SU leads the series, 29-25-3. The Orangemen have defeated Pittsburgh in 11 of the last 12 meetings.
