Special Events Surround SU-Pittsburgh Contest

SYRACUSE, N.Y. - In addition to the Orangemen football team's BIG EAST opener versus Pittsburgh at noon, several events will be taking place on Saturday, October 5.
Saturday is Dollar Day at the Dome. Syracuse student-athletes will be outside the Carrier Dome accepting donations for the United Way. Last year, SU student-athletes collected for than $10,000 for the United Way September 11th Fund.
The SU men's and women's basketball teams will also be on hand to meet the fans. The teams will be at the Tostitos Family Fun Zone to sign autographs beginning at 10:45 a.m. The Family Fun Zone is located across from Gate B on Hendricks Field.
In addition, 10,000 t-shirts, courtesy of Lee Jeans, will be distributed to fans until supplies last. Fans can received their free shirt at the Football Fun Zone beginning at 10:00 a.m., rain or shine.
