PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Three members of the Syracuse men's soccer team received all-conference honors at the annual awards banquet held at Rutgers University in conjunction with the BIG EAST Championship. Sophomore forward Jarett Park (Tully, N.Y./Christian Brothers Academy) was named to the All-BIG EAST Second Team, while junior defender Chris Aloisi (North Babylon, N.Y./St. John the Baptist) and senior forward Guido Cristofori (Fairport, N.Y./Fairport) received third-team accolades.
Park led the Orangemen in scoring with eight goals and five assists for 21 points. He was tied for the team lead with three game-winning goals. Despite just two seasons of play, Park ranks among SU's all-time top-10 assist leaders. It is the second consecutive season that Park has earned All-BIG EAST honors. He was the conference's rookie of the year and a third-team choice in 2001.
Aloisi, the team's captain, started all 18 games in the Syracuse defense. He scored two points on two assists and helped the Orangemen to three shutouts in 2002. Aloisi was a member of the BIG EAST All-Rookie Team in 1999. He is a two-time all-region performer.
Cristofori finished his career with his best season at Syracuse. He was second on the team with 15 points. Cristofori scored four goals and paced the Orangemen with seven assists. He scored or assisted on six of SU's eight game-winning goals. Cristofori earned conference laurels in each of his four seasons. He was a third-team selection in 2001, a second-team choice in 2000 and a member of the all-rookie team at West Virginia in 1999.
Syracuse finished the season with an 8-8-2 overall mark and a 3-6-1 BIG EAST record.
