No. 7 Orangewomen Duel With Scarlet Knights

Seventh-ranked Syracuse looks to return to winning ways when it faces Rutgers on Saturday, April 6 at 1 p.m. in New Jersey.
The Orangewomen (6-3, 2-2 BIG EAST) and the Scarlet Knights (4-6, 0-2 BIG EAST) are meeting for the fifth time. The series is tied 2-2 with SU taking the last game, 12-7, in 2001.
SU lost to No. 11 Notre Dame, 12-7 on Wednesday at Meyo Field. Sophomores Leigh-Ann Zimmer (Farmingdale, NY/Farmingdale) and Danielle Lillis (West Islip, NY/West Islip) each had two goals in the game. Senior Karen Healy (Freeport, NY/Freeport) scored her first tally of the season to start off the second half.
Junior Kim Wayne (Scarsdale, NY/Scarsdale) is ranked No. 1 in the nation in assists per game (2.63). She is also eighth in points with 4.50 per game. The midfielder’s 10 points versus Connecticut is tied for the second-highest total in a single game this season. Her seven assists against the Huskies is the most by a player in 2002.
