Special Episode of Inside the Orange Airs Friday

A special edition of "Inside the Orange" has been added to the Empire Sports Network schedule as Howard Simon hosts the show from The Third Annual Coaches vs. Cancer Basket Ball. This year?s event was held at the Turning Stone Casino and will be televised on Friday at 6:30 p.m. The show will promote the phone number of the National American Cancer Society so viewers may call with donations. All proceeds will remain in the Central New York chapter of the American Cancer Society.
SU men's basketball coach Jim Boeheim and his wife Juli are co-chairs of the event which raises money for the American Cancer Society and funds many other programs. Jim Boeheim will talk with Simon about his role in Coaches vs. Cancer and the Basket Ball he hosts annually. Simon will also chat with some of the dignitaries at the event including St. Joseph?s men?s basketball head coach Phil Martelli and former Orangemen Etan Thomas and Allen Griffin. Thomas is now a member of the Washington Wizards of the NBA and Griffin has played professionally in Europe and with the NBA Developmental League.
