SU Offers 2nd Annual Free Football Clinic for Women
7/23/2002 5:29:32 PM | Football
Attention ladies! Looking to increase your knowledge about college football? Want to know the "inside scoop" about the SU football program? It's "Monday Night Football" in July as Syracuse University head football coach Paul Pasqualoni and his staff will conduct the second annual free football clinic for women on Monday, July 29, beginning at 5:30 p.m. Last year's event drew a capacity crowd.
"Football 101" will offer women the opportunity to ask questions about any topic concerning college football, and have the SU coaching staff provide the insight and answers. Everything from the rules of college football, to equipment safety, to offensive and defensive strategies will be discussed in the open forum.
"My wife Jill has played an integral part in developing this clinic," Pasqualoni said. "She's been very involved and we're very excited to meet directly with our female football fans and provide them with some insight and a behind-the-scenes perspective of the game."
A pre-game "tailgate reception," featuring Jill Pasqualoni will begin at 5:00 p.m. outside the Iocolano?Petty football wing at Manley Field House. Tours of the football facility and locker room will also take place prior to the clinic. The clinic will run from 6:00 p.m. until 8:30. There will be door prizes and free SU football posters for everyone attending.
Attendees are encouraged to submit their questions about SU football in advance of the clinic. Questions may be faxed to 315/443-3405, or e-mailed to teamsu@syr.edu. Advance registration for the event is required and can be made by calling the SU Football office between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. Monday through Friday at 315/443-4817. Questions can also be submitted during the phone registration.
