Volleyball Loses To Connecticut, 3-0

SYRACUSE, NY - Three Huskies recorded kills in double figures as Connecticut defeated Syracuse, 3-0, on Sunday afternoon in Manley Field House.
Connecticut (5-8, 1-1 BIG EAST) defeated the Orangewomen (10-6, 0-2 BIG EAST) for the second consecutive year. The Huskies connected for 50 kills and a .250 hitting percentage, compared to SU’s 42 kills and .155 attack percentage.
Sophomore Morgan Jones (Malad, ID/Malad) led the Syracuse offense with 11 kills. Junior Michaela Skelly (Simi Valley, CA/Royal) recorded a double-double with 24 assists and a match-high 11 digs.
Jamie Hadenfeldt and Christine Lambert led Connecticut with 12 kills each. Melissa Wooley recorded 11 kills on 24 attempts with three errors for a .333 hitting percentage.
Syracuse returns to action on Friday, Oct. 4 when it travels to face Albany at 4 p.m.
