
Orangewomen Face #25 Boston College On Saturday

The Syracuse women’s basketball team faces Boston College on Saturday at 2 p.m. in Conte Forum. The Orangewomen are 5-10 overall and 0-4 in the BIG EAST, while the Eagles are ranked 24th in the Associated Press Top 25 with an 11-3 overall mark and a 3-0 conference mark.
The Orangewomen are coming off their third overtime game of the season, an 82-75 loss to Georgetown on Wednesday. Junior Shannon Perry tied a career high with 28 points. She completed her 10th double-double of the season with 15 rebounds, including an offensive rebound and putback with 6.3 seconds left in regulation to force overtime.
The all-time series between SU and Boston College is deadlocked at 19-19. The Eagles were the only team to defeat Syracuse twice last season. BC has won seven of the last 10 games in the series and five straight at Conte Forum.
The Orangewomen are facing their fourth ranked opponent of the 2002-03 season. Syracuse is 0-3 in its first three meetings with top-25 foes, but the three losses have been by a combined 12 points.
